Ok, so you’ve heard of LuLaRoe. You’ve seen women posting photos of their leggings; crazy prints and all. You’ve seen a plethora of confusing hashtags: I mean, #unicorns and #LuLaEVERYTHING? What the what?
Let me break it down just a bit for you, and help you know why women all over the country are feeling #blessed and #lulaobsessed:
- Unique prints. According to the lead designer, only 5000 items are made in each print. Yes, there may be different colorways or similar versions, but statistically, when I’m wearing LuLaRoe, the odds are not high that I will run into someone who is wearing the same thing as me.
- Two words: plus size. And we’re not just talking about ANY OLD plus size. The stated sizes are XXS-3XL BUT several of the styles are OVERSIZED by nature, so it’s reasonable that a 4XL/5XL babe can fit into a Carly or Irma or Perfect T.
- Personal connections. When you go shopping with LuLaRoe, it’s not like ANY other shopping experience. It’s a LuLaGal or a LuLaBro (a man who sells LuLaRoe, and dangggg they are good!) who felt a deep personal connection to a brand, LOVED it, and decided that they wanted to buy a TON of these items, and bring them into their house, and then sell them piece by piece. I’ve got 1500+ pieces in my 566 square foot apartment right now – wanna shop?
- Unicorns. These are no longer just the national animal of Scotland, or rainbow-farting horses that dance through the clouds. Remember how I said that only 5,000 of each print is made? Well, sometimes, folks see these and think OMG I HAVE TO HAVE THIS NOW and go on an all-consuming quest to find them. These may just be a print that caught this person’s eye (heck, my first unicorn was a blue Amelia with white triangles…nothing special, but it was special to ME, and I don’t want to admit how many groups I joined to find this dang dress). But I searched until I found it.
