Since the inception of Color Street, stylists and customers have requested a smaller “petite” line for smaller nails. The regular nail polish strips come in sheets with 16 different sizes to fit nail beds of all shapes. However, for women with petite nails (or kids who want a manicure), the normal-sized strips just don’t fit. It’s a lot of extra work to trim the nail polish strips to fit tiny nails. Parents all over are excited about the upcoming release of Color Street Petites.
Color Street Petites: What We Know So Far
We don’t have a lot of concrete information about when the petites line will be released, but let me tell you the few things that I do know:
- At Color Street Convention in July 2018, we were told that a petite line would “come soon.”
- During the Presidential Circle team meeting in New York City in January 2019, seventy of the top leaders in the company previewed both the Spring 2019 line and the upcoming Color Street Petites line
Color Street Petites: When Will They Be Released?
Knowing that top leaders saw the Spring 2019 line alongside the Petites line makes me think that we will see them this Spring (oh hey, look, I predicted the Petites line for the Spring catalog!). Many direct sales companies launch “mommy and me” types of collections around late Spring, around Mothers Day.
This makes me think that we can expect to see the Color Street Petites line launch in April 2019. What do you think?

Will Color Street Petites be Safe for Children?
Color Street is made of 100% nail polish. If you already paint your children’s nails, you’re going to welcome this product. I can’t – and won’t – tell you how to raise your children and how to live your life. But what I can do is give you the information so that you can make your own informed decisions.
You can find the full ingredients list HERE on the Color Street website. You can access those anytime. Color Street does not make any claims about being free of any particular chemicals. However, they are free of most of the chemicals that people actively strive to avoid, making it a safer nail polish choice than your average drugstore brand.
The one chemical that Color Street has not been able to avoid completely is Toluene, which is present in trace amounts.
[note: link is to the National Library of Medicine website. I know that if you google ANY chemical, you will be bombarded with a large number of sites with information, many of which are NOT backed by science. For this blog, I will be sticking with “.gov” resources – from my time working on the WebMD team, I’ve learned first-hand about credible websites for medical information. As always, do your reserach. Knowledge is power, friend.]
